installing piston rings. Need clear instructions on how to position them
i have 2 manuals and both have really vauge instructions. either that or my dumb ass doesnt undestand what its trying to tell me. anyone have pics or likns to a good refference site?

just offset the gaps from each other. it's not a huge deal. the rings are gonna rotate around in the bore anyways when you get it runnin

As long as the 2 compression rings are 180 from each other and no aligned on the intake/exhaust or wrist pin area you'll be fine. The oil rings I also space out.
Be sure to measure ring end gap |

8) acually, in theory the piston rings will have no chance to move side to side seeing how they are moving up and down, and not in a spiral motion.

yep, compression rings gaps should be evenly spaced on the non-thrust side, 80-120 degrees apart.......
