Installing ES bushings**NEW QUESTION BELOW WITH PIC**

Anyways, I got the Hyperflex Master bushing kit for my 91 DX with the rear trailing arm bushings also.

So after getting the BITCH ASS stock bushings out of the front LCA without a press (easy when you figure it out), I will be installing all the Poly bushings. I got the black bushings if that makes a difference..

**SIDE NOTE**
ES has revised their packaging, rather then having all the bushings vacume sealed onto cardboard like usual and all the instructions in the box you you have to search for the right bushings, they now have a box 1/3rd the size, and all the bushings and instructions are in individual sealed bags. So front LCA has a bag with all bushings and instructions..I think this is SWEET.**End Side Note**

Ok, what I want to know is, I have seen that overboost write up where they install the grease nipples so that you can easily grease them after, is this something people do? I'm just not sure even with the nipple in there if the grease would be distributed around the bushing? What kind of a difference does it make?

Also, what would be the recommended grease to use? They only include 2 little tubes of it, I'm sure I'll need more, especially if I install the nipples.

when installing mine i covered each bushing in bearing grease before i pressed them in. the only squeaking i get is the uper strut bushings, about every other week i spray the tophats with CRC powerlube and it shuts them up

I've heard of people doing the nipple thing. I might if mine start to squeek.

I have mine out now so I guess I should so it...I would imagine trying to drill and tap the control arm with a bushing in there would be impossible without ruining the bushing.

whether you put a grease fitting on or not you will still have the same problem...the grease will not last forever and you will have to re-lube ::)
save yourself the hassle and the possibility of destroying your bushings.

if having grease fittings was beneficial dont you think energy suspension would have put them there to begine with??

No nessecarily. ES doesn't makethe control arms, and there not going to put grease nipple into Polyurethane.

I talked to my buddy about this and when he bought his, the tech at the shop he works at (VERY repetibale race motor/car shop) said he would advise it. He asked were he bought them at and the shop owner (driven of a 450+hp Stang) said he did his and suggests it over squeeking and the Metal on rubber were out.

You can do it in or out of the car. if you do it in, just be careful how you drill. don't go too deep.

Overboost has their write up and mention putting in the grease fittings.

I'll put some in, it will cost me $15 for a tap and the fittings, might as well while it's all out.

Ok, I was looking at things..What is this thing:

Is this the compensator arm? I don't think I have bushings for this so I want to order some ASAP.

It's bolted to the rear trailing arm.
