i used one of the wires going into the top the dizzy, i believe it was the green one. if you take the cover off it should go to the negitave screw on the coil.

No need for that, there is a signal wire that mostly goes unused unless you have cruise control. If you have a Haynes manual you should be able to figure it out, just look at the wiring diagram. I hooked the signal wire on my Autometer tach to this wire, and it was located by my clutch fluid resivoir (sp?)

....How about returning it and using your original tach

Seeing these oversize cookie jars in everyones window is making me sick :P.

Sorry, just a pet peeve, cant stand them things, like having obnoxious wings. Just makes me scratch my head and wonder what money I could have spent making my car go faster. (like a Z6 head, Ive seen a few of those around for 150$)

Guess you get a bit sour when you get older. Back in the day I thought these were cool too. Build how you want.

Keep the shift light and mount it inside the dash. That you actually use. (unless you have an Ignition Pill)

blue wire off the dizz don't worry about them talking ----, do what you want man, it's your car. If YOU want to go ahead and put a 12" tach in your ride, don't listen to them.

I really don't see why you need another tach unless you're revving past eight, but then again I don't believe in much cosmetically in my car. there's a blue wire on the electrical plug that goes to your gauge cluster, use the t that came with the tach and attach the green wire from the tach to that blue wire. I'm going to do a write up on complete install when I get my camera back from storage since this question comes up periodically.

I think I'll put a big assed clock on my dash so I can always know what time it is, I'll color match it to my v-tech sticker.
