Injector wiring RC injectors in a Z6
I picked up some RC 750 OBD1 high imp injectors. I was told "GUARANTEED TO FIT, NO NEED FOR NEW INJECTOR CLIPS"....So tonight I put the injectors in, and........the clips don't fit. Now I have these (thumbnail below) from the guy that put the OBD0 B16 into my civic previously (95) and the injectors DO fit into these. Now, I guess where I'm going with this is. Anyone know how to wire these in?

Re: Injector wiring RC injectors in a Z6
Ok, I just got done looking at the Z6 wiring harness and I have
yellow/black.....yellow yellow/black.....blue yellow/black.....red yellow/black.....brown And on the injector clips I have red/black.....red red/black.....yellow red/black.....blue red/black.....brown Logically I would connect red/black to yellow/black all across then just yellow-yellow, blue-blue, red-red, and brown-brown. I just need an educated yes or no confirmation before I do it. :) |

obd0 and obd1 clips are the same shape, how could they plug into one and not the other?

Re: Injector wiring RC injectors in a Z6
Which is why I was looking at both sets of clips trying to figure out why they work in one and not the other. While looking at the clips I noticed that the B16 ones are slightly different in one spot, where the actual metal prongs from the injector slides into the clip to make the electrical connection. The opening is slightly larger in the B16 clips, not large enough to make a difference with OEM injectors, but I'm assuming that the metal prongs on the RCs are slightly larger than OEM, because they were probably made based off of the B16 clips and not the D16 clips (just a guess).
This is the only thing I have found. :S |
Re: Injector wiring RC injectors in a Z6
Wire them up w/ common to common (i.e. red/black to yel/black) and then you can use whatever color for the other one. If you're OCD about stuff like me you would match those up 1:1. ;)

Just match the orientation of the wires the way they sit in the car.
