idle air control valve

well i put my new intake manifold and throttle body on the other day so i started the car up it ran fine then like 2 seconds later while its warming up the idle jumps like 500rpms from 1700 to 2200rpms and it pops a cel but the car runs fine it doesnt stall out or anything it runs fine just has a high idle once the cel goes off other then that it will idle at 750 when fully warm untill the cel goes off. anyone else had this problem i think i might have a fucked up IAC valve

Set the idle as per the owners manual.

no its really weird my idle is fine becasue after driving around and ---- when i start my car it will idle at 750rpm then jump to about 1500 i think it might be a problem with the new throttle body but im gunna change the iac to see if i can get rid of the cel

check for vaccum leeks. i fucked around with my iacv for a week before i discovered that the honda dealer gave me the wrong damn throttle body gasket.

Re: idle air control valve

well it just keeps gettin better well im drivin today goin to a party and i started my car and my usual check engine light never came on btu my idel was still really high so i was like whatever its good then all of a sudden i got to like 3000 rpm and shift into 3rd and i go to 2500 in 4th and my throttle cuts out and will not let me give it any gas and my car just slows down and kinda dies but doesnt stall it was kinda weird so i check my throttle cable and all my hoses everythings fine so i start the car back up and drive alil and it does it again and then agian and again it will drive fine as long as i stay under 2500 rpm then it kinda dies i think i just fried my new ecu with uberdata btu im not sure maybe even a headgasket but i wasnt beating on it or givin it boost plus i would be able to rev higher then that any ideas what do you guys think

Re: idle air control valve

i cant check any codes the cel is gone it isnt coming on anymore so i dont know i playied with it all day yesterday and alil today and i think it might be the map sensor becasue when i start it it revs the falls the revs then falls like 2 3 times then stops like a map sensor would and revs up pretty high so i think its the map what do you guys think?
