Re:IACV HELP!!

why will it not let you drive? i know you can drive home with it pulsing up and down, ---- i drove like that for a month :(

you could clean it out with brake cleaner or some other type of cleaner, or i guess you could just unplug the sensor :-\

Re:IACV HELP!!

cut a coke can into a square (about the size of a IACV), loosen the bolts, stick the can over the holes, tighten it(so the can blocks the IACV), and bam. your done. i drove like this for a loooooonnnnnggggg time.

Re:IACV HELP!!

you need to put something inbetween to block the holes as mentioned above. i think your idle will be crappy but it should work? make a square, loosen the bolts as stated above, wiggle the iacv loose, slide in the piece of square aluminum from the pop can and tighten the bolts up. off you go.

sorry to echo what was already said, maybe you just didn't understand it in american language so i translated to canadian.

Re:IACV HELP!!

chris, like i said man, reset the ecu and make sure the code comes back.. if the 92-95 doesnt bolt up then i've got one for ya.

alot of the IACV's are interchangable. Try from the new civic u just got. or the other..or somewhere. ;D
