Hyundai ewww... Help Plz
timing belt snaped in a 2000 elantra, and due to the harsh history of that car, and the trans not shifiting in to 1st or 4th, it might be time for a new engine/trans rather than rebuild the head
will a 1999 elantra engine trans fit in to a 2000 elantra wagon. i think that the sedan has the 1.8 and the wagon the 2.0 but will they bolt up. the local junkyard has a 1999 for cheap... Thanks for any help if anyone actulay has info on this ----.. iv been on some hyundi sites for a while, and they dont seem to have any tech info what so ever, so i am falling back on HMT... |
Re: Hyundai ewww... Help Plz
throw that ---- in the trash
dont even bother fixing it |
Re: Hyundai ewww... Help Plz
if it was my car i would but its not...
It will bolt up no prob incase anyone is looking for this info... Might need the ecm that came with the other engine, but that is uncertain, |
Re: Hyundai ewww... Help Plz
my only experience was with auto trannys and they have different tranny control modules
but it should bolt up as long as its coming off the same block (same one as a stealth ?) |
Re: Hyundai ewww... Help Plz
1.8 and 2.0s are both betas so they are the same as long as they are both dohc. use the 1.8 cams and intake cause they are better lol. i know a little about those cause my friend jm had a tiburon with the 2.0 beta. I am pretty shure those motors run fine on each others ecus as well.
