How To Set up a battery in the trunk with a kill switch?

So this is how I was thinking of doing it. Give me you input. I did a bunch of searching and one guy did up this diagram, but I changed it around a bit. JD give me your input on this.

I would put the kill switch on the negative side of the battery to keep your voltage spikes from taking out a fuse, alternator, or ecu.

that will defeat the purpose of having a kill switch then
you what the switch to also kill the alternator, so thats why alternator is connected to the battery side of the switch, if you cut the ground, while the car is still running the circuit will still be connected by the main power wire, remember the engine is ground to chassis and don't need a battery to keep it running.

thats what I was thinking, I need it to pass tech at the track. And I dont think that will pass.

the diagram you have posted is the practical way to set it up, I would remove the fuse from the alternator though, I would not run a fuse at all. I currently have my battery relocated to the trunk (EK hatch) just can't find a good place to mount the switch. I have the push pull summit switch

I would run the battery wire and the alternator to the starter, and put the kill switch on a wire from the starter to the fuse block.

IDK if the kill switch has the current capacity for the starter.

Im gona mount my switch behind my rear plate and cut off one of the handles my switch came with and leave it in, when i go to the track i will just pull my plate off and swap out the key for the one with the handle.
