Re:how to port and polish head ?
I have ported by exhaust manifold with a die grinder, that should do it for the porting part. I suppose even a dremel tool would work too if you wanted a super cheap way.

Re:how to port and polish head ?
Standard Abrasives makes a kit for DIY Port and Polish. Their products are what we used when we used to offer ported and polished HF Style manifolds.
Here is a link to their PDF guide for Port and Polish http://www.sa-motorsports.com/portdiy/diyport.pdf Good info here! You can buy the kit they use at Summit Racing. |

I did mine with a dremmel and the small drum sander bit.I used 60 grit to remove all the castings and I finished it off with 120 grit. Then I took a stainless steel brush atachment and finished it off with that.

Re:how to port and polish head ?
turn on the car and slowly pour a ten pound bag of playground sand in the intake. Don't get cheap sand tho, otherwise you'll need more like 20 pounds.

Re:how to port and polish head ?
hmmmm, for a mild pnp - which is all you should do without a flowbench, you can get the abrasive pads for a dremel and go slow, throw some cutting oil on there and make should to clean it real well when you're done...

Re:how to port and polish head ?
