i had a shop tell me that they could take off a "substantal amount....3 or 4lbs..." HAHAHA that ****** weighs like 30...and he wanted 'shop time' which is 75bucks an hour, and said it would take an hour at least PLUS 40 to resurface it

30 lb!?/
WTF.

take off as much as you feel like. I personally wouldn't make it lighter than 12 lb.
