my dad is bitchin thinking it will weigh to much to carry in a 4 door sedan

 

just for transporting? no problem.

 

If you separate them you can pick each one up by yourself. Engine might be a little more than the trans, but not too heavy. They're aluminum blocks remember?

Had a trunk full of other parts (Axles etc) and aside from my car down shifting more often up hills (Auto Tragic Transmission) There were no issues....

 

Won't be a probelm, right now I've got 4 steelies and a 4 speed in my CRX.

 

what i've done a few times with a complete swap still bolted together is:
take the passenger seat out, put some cardboard or carpet on the door sill. and teeter the engine in. if you have a second hand it's much easier.

 

tranny = 68 pounds
engine = 200-250 pounds depending on what itmes are left on it

Tranny in the trunk, motor where the passenger seat was.
