How do I set my fan to be on all the time

I'm just finishing my turbo kit install and I want to set my fan to be on all the time. How do I wire it to do that?

Thanks

Could wire it to a switch like me.. Flick the switch, on until you flick it off. Worked great 8)

Or if your really hardcore, you can take a paper clip and jumper the fan switch with the 2 wires on the back of the block obd0, and on the tstat housing obd1/2. I do it all the time at the track. So when key on, the fan comes right on.

I have mine spliced into the temp switch on the back of the block as well, I just flick the switch to short the temp switch and voila.

Dosnt it affect the engine opperating temperatures if this is done? I mean the engine runs its best at a certain temperature, so is colder necessarly better?

Please explain your answer.

not really. the coolant temperature in the engine is regulated by the thermostat, not the cooling fan. the engine runs most efficiently at a certain temperature, though going for peak power isn't generally very efficient. i think the idea behind leaving the fan on is to let the engine cool down as much as possible between runs. the cooler the engine components are, the less heat will make it into the incoming air before it's burned, meaning more power. also, if done properly, the ECU will run in it's warm up mode, richening the mixture a little, and potentially making more power. unfortunately, simply keeping the cooling fan on won't cool your engine much. if the engine isn't running, coolant isn't circulating through the radiator by any force beyond convection, in which case a relatively small volume of coolant ever has a chance of reaching ambient temperature. if the engine were running, it would be producing more heat which would be counter productive. maybe if you combined the radiator fan with an electric water pump that bypasses the thermostat... then all the hot coolant would circulate through the radiator when the engine's off. but if you're going to go that far, why not put the money into something that has the potential to make over 1 hp.
