How to convert D16Y7 to OBD1?

Buddy of mine has a D16Y7 in an EK. We are ready to turbo it, and have been told in order to properly run OBD1 we will need a Y8 intake manifold along with all its sensors. Is this true? We have chipped P06 and conversion harness ready to run the car.

use an obd1 dizzy,conversion harness and your p06 and you should be good.. a y8 mani is also obdII if you have to swap intake mani's but it would be from a z6 not a y8 but i dont think you have to
