how to check mains

how can i check my mains and see if ther in spec . i bought the block and dont know if the main cap are the original for the block thanks

more info on the car... but for future reference check with your helms manual... or search for helms manual to give you the info that you need

since your going with a aftermarket crank, have the block and girdle align bored and honed to spec.

Other than that spend about $200 on gauges to check the main bores.

if you've got all your bearings you can plastiguage the bearings for specs, but if not then you need some dial calliper's. bore align may be a good idea
