Re: How can you tell if you have bent valves? NSFW
Here's my favorite part of the whole thing. This turbo is backwards from regular dsm turbos the intake side is flipfloped so I had to move the alternator up were the power steering used to be the the belt was right in the way on the intake side of the turbo. Fortunatly the guy I bought it from sent a bunch of extra parts he just gave me when I bought the turbo and manifold from him. The piece of charge pipe from I guess the evo works great for my intake it has the perfect bend to it and puts the filter right were the cruisecontrol used to be.
*L* it still has the BOV on it though I'm gonna take it off and plug the hole with something but I haven't got around to it yet. https://hometown.aol.com/dwmcintosh2/images/intake.jpg |

of course you would have to pull the head but ya that trick never fails learned it from the og honda builder. If you do have bent valves and the seats look staright just get some used valves clean them up lap those botches in and be done with it hmt way and well imo the right way has we all dont have fundage

Re: How can you tell if you have bent valves? NSFW
Well I have another complete head and a head gasket so it's not that big a deal. But hey thats a great way to junkyard test a head.

Re: How can you tell if you have bent valves? NSFW
use brake fluid.
and pressurized air from the top of the head (upside down) |
Re: How can you tell if you have bent valves? NSFW
do a leak down test. pressurize your cylinders and if you hear air from the exhaust or intake manifold at TDC you have leakage from your valves or if you pull your radiator cap and hear it from there, its a head gasket.
