Holy RPM's batman
My D15B7 redlines at 6800 and second gear is supposed to top out at 59 mph but my second gear pulls through 60. Does anyone know where the rev limiter is?

Re:Holy RPM's batman
redline and rev limit (also know as fuel cut) are different points.
example, d16a6 (CRX Si) engine redlines at 6500 but fuel cut is higher at like 6800 |
Re:Holy RPM's batman
I know this, that is why I am wondering where the rev limiter is since I can see it going through the redline on my tach.

Re:Holy RPM's batman
I have a D15B7 too, I'm pretty sure my official redline was at 6800 like yours, but the rev limiter was more like 7000.

there is only one way to find out ;D

Re:Holy RPM's batman
Uhm, I dunno where D16A6 redline is at, but fuel cut is at 7400 rpms.
Honduh tachs are incredibly inaccurate. Well, the non-HF ones are. |
Re:Holy RPM's batman
I swear that my 91 si would rev higher before fuel cut than my 88si. The 91 would hit 7200 or so, where as my 88 would only hit 6800. Could be a difference in the tach, but it felt like the 91 would rev higher.

Re:Holy RPM's batman
why do you shift at rev limit anyway..Unless your power band is all the way up there...I know on my ls that I shift about 800 short of my red line its actually faster in the 1/4

Re:Holy RPM's batman
yep
dont needa goto 6800 on a D i feel it slowing down at like 6400.. |
Re:Holy RPM's batman
I changed my ignitor (trying to fix spark issue)and I used my old DX one and now I shif @ 7300 even tho the stock ECU rev limiter is 6800. The stock tach is off by a lot.
