Why? It can be done but you cant squeeze on pump gas need to get a much higher octance. Then you will need to back of timing atleast 4-6 degrees just for a 50 shot. If you run without the dohc zc's you will be able to run an 80 shot with proper tuning hence I said proper. I have yet to blown up a nitrous motor and it involves a couple simple things. Proper size jets, retard ignition timing, colder plugs, adjustable fpr and a larger pump.

You could get a SOHC ZC in vtec. It's basically a JDM Z6, OBD 1. With 12-1 comp. I hope you plan on running a wet kit, direct port and lots of fuel, you know the high octane stuff, otherwise....BOOM!

zc camshaft would mean no vtec lobe also, i would like to know what management you're using to go with that pg7...those injectors aren't compatible with the ecu by itself i don't think, not to mention how much fuel you would be dumping in there. I had built a d16a6 with pistons from a d15b7 (which stuck above the deck by .00 and even on high octane pump gas i still had to run 10 degree retard just to baby it. NoS on this type of setup is extremely risky, and personally not worth it by the time you end up retarding your timing to where you can actually drive it.

You can run lude injectors on a pg7. It will run rich at idle but I ran them on a dohc zc I put together awhile back for an old customer of mine with a 75 single fogger dry shot.

Personally though i still think his setup would be better with a matching y8 head port matched and polished, and a new camshaft. Better quench area on the y8 helps keep that nasty detonation under control Plus, you would still have reliable power all of the time, and not just when your bottle is full.
