HF D15 questions?

ok i have a stock 89 crx hf i just read the thread about putting a zc head on a d15 block and was very intrested in swap. but at the same time i was going to do my orignal plan with a 16v dx head on my hf block . but after reading further i have found out that some of the crx's didnt have 4v pistons and im now confused!!!

ok so i deffinatley want to boost my crx but im to poor to afford a B series engine.so i want to make the most power for the money,if its possible i would like to fix up the HF engine . some ideas are crx Si,ZC,D15,mini-me

all of these would be TURBO!! so any and all ideas would be greatly appriciated

Re:HF D15 questions?

first try finding or borrowing a bore scope to find out if you have the 4v reliefs, i know cx motors sometimes did, but im not sure on the hf's. i know that you have a good chance if on the block girdle it says pm3 that you have 4valve reliefs, only way to be sure is to pull the head or a bore scope

you could always throw on a Si head or if you wanna go boost your best bet would be to find a A6 motor or zc motor as they both are strong and both would be better for boost than a 1.5 as they allow for more room for error

Re:HF D15 questions?

there 2 valve releif pistons but the rest of the engine is the same as any other d15 so if you've got the time and can't afford another engine swap the pistons from another d15 and do a head swap and your set if you want i got some d15b2 pistons you can have for 20 shipped pm if you want them

Re:HF D15 questions?

if moneys not a problem then by a d16z6 and swap it out and do a obd-1 conversion and "build" it or either buy my d15b2 pistons :-* or zc pistons :-*
