i was wondering if anybody has by chance put an si head on a hf?? I have an si motor that im plannin on rebuilding and droppin in my hf, but untill i get the funds to do it right, i was just going to put the si head on my hf.... I was also going to do a mini me swap on that d16a6 so i dont need the stock si head. Let me know........

 

you need dx pistons in the hf block because the hf has 8 valve's....and the si head has 16 valves....since the the HF is 1.5 and the you will need the 1.5 dx pistons

i also just noticed that under your screen name that your HF does 24 second at 65mph...how is that...my hf does 19.1 consistantly and it has 160k miles on it....no upgrades what so ever...and it does it at 68mph....

you need to go to the turbo section and start some reseach.

 

you can put a dx head on the hf... 108hp. like a mini me...

 

i thought the extra .1 from 1.5 to 1.6 was from stroke not bore? ahwell...

swaping the si head onto the hf motor is dumb. the HF is smaller and crappier in EVERY way. Its just a bolt in swap, get an entire Si (d16a6) engine w/ ECU and tranny and you will have Si Power in a light HF body.
