HF block with an Si head... ?
hey i have a 91 crx Si and the bottom end gave out on my stock engine.. the head however is still fine i think.. id like to take the head off of the d16a6 and throw it on the Hf block.. throw new valve stem seals in the a6 head and what not.. i just want to make sure that theres no funky anything that would have to be changed or machined in order to do that swap... eventually ill put a whole new engine in because i know the hf is crap.. but for now i figure the extra head flow would make a huge difference.... thanks

Re: HF block with an Si head... ?
the hf will most likely have only 2 valve reliefs on the pistons. :(
let us know when you take the head off. |

only 2 valve reliefs on a 91 hf, i know for sure! when we swapped boostdhf's crx we pulled the head just to see.
