Heres what happened. He had one of his friends help him rebuild the stock motor. No skills.... :yNo measuring...no guages..nothing. New bearings, new seals, etc. Slap everything together....then starts the car. YAY!! it starts and drives. Sounds good. Compression is good too! Drive it slow for a few days....everything is ok. Take it out one night....pounds on the throttle a few times....car makes funny noises. Stops to check the engine...but she dies. End of story. Figures...the car is a waste of money. Sells it to recoop some money. Offer under 1k for sure. The car isn't worth much....especially in Cal.
