HELP! Port & Polishing
Need some help on finding best ways of porting and polishing a D16A1 head(DOHC). If anyone can tell me where to find performance intake/exhaust gaskets to gasket match if I can or go about some measurements. If anything, would port matching to an aftermarket intake and header be of any good?
if need: plan on getting gude cams and running shitloads of nitrous and hope to put type R pistons in it as well( or try to get out 13-14 to 1 compression)
Thanks

just gasket match it and clean up the ports with a dremel and drum sanding rolls,,if you have a snap on tool man nearby, they sell a nice kit to gice it that polished finished..dont go digging into the head thinking bigger will be better, unless you know what you are doing and have a flowbench, you may make it flow worse..youll need to pull all the valves to do a good job to..just mark each valve to put it with the same seat..or better yet get a freshvalve job when your done.
yeah the B series pistons will NOT work on your D series motor.13-14. compression ratio is just not possible on a street driven car...even if u filled up with race gas everyday..something would probably mess up daily driving it.
Unless your gonna get high compression pistons and a hot cam...dont even bother with a port/polish..honda heads are designed very well..honda ports dont really need to be modified like those old dinosaur V8 motors.
