Swapped trannies, 94 DX to 98 EX. Reattached VSS and it hasnt worked for a month. Checked voltage, VSS is good. Still throwing code 17. I know, or I thought I knew it was the VSS because that was the only thing I could have screwed with when I swapped trannies. Please someone tell me WTF is wrong, your speedo ever stop working? What was it? Thanks

 

that is the only code you are throwing?

reset the ecu, make sure the ground wire for the vss is actually grounding, and make sure the transmission ground is still attached.

check fuses.
