ok so i have a built y7block /z6 head... im throwing a code 14.. i cleaned the iacv and still throwing code.. but my main problem is the car doesnt idle good and it feels like it has no power at all.. i would expect atleast 100hp but it backfires alot and feels like it has 20hp.. i have tried xenocrons y7/z6 map that he used for a customer. i tried a z6 map and a y7 map.. wat else can i do and i just hooked up my wideband o2 sensor.. i start it up and its at 14.7 to 15 afr.. then after about 10 seconds it will just go lean.. no matter wat i do.. press the peddle.. let go.. still stays lean and backfires.. any suggestions? im out to part this d16 out and just save up and just throw a y7 head on it.. cuz im not sure if its the timing difference in the y7/z6 or if my ecu is bad?? idk please help

 

Maybe if you beat your car it will stop screaming a code 14?

should i gap my spark plugs so they have more of a gap to run richer?

 

Don't worry about the plugs they are tight. Gape your mom and take pics, I can't make it there this week.

 

is your timing right??/ Have you been driving the car and this just hapened, or is this a new build.

 

it was tuned before and ran for 1k miles then pulled. well i got it to stop backfiring .. i pulled the sparkplugs and number 1 plug was all the way closed i gapped to .40 and now its not backfiring.. i also have 12 volts on the plug to the iacv.. car is running alot better i used a y7 map and scaled it for 320cc injectors even tho i have 440s.. so im running really rich.. but now my plx wideband isnt working and just sais its lean all the time... so once i get my wideband to work ill start street tuning.. then do vtec tuning and throw a turbo on at 15psi.. but for now should i get a new iacv
