Help me figure out problem from symptoms

Hey there's this guy that's selling a z6 long block for pretty cheap but he says that his motor is blown. i'm wondering if i should still buy it, if its totally trashed or it can be rebuilt easily. i'm planning on pistons and rods and maybe some mild porting and cams...

i'm not a good enough mech to know from the sounds and stuff but here's what i can say.
here are the problems:
-could be valves...
-Clicking sound
-After it warms up, the car shuts off at idle
-Feels like its not getting any compression, could be a ring.
-no spark on cylinder 1
-when u open the oil cap a lot of air comes out
-it starts.. and drives for a bit..

so what do u guys think? trash? or perfect for a cheap rebuild? can i at leaste use the block, any guarantees on that? Thanks to those of you who help!

Leak down test should help you pinpoint whats fucked in the motor.

ticking is probably valves. I bet it's rebuildable for sure.

but for sure do a leakdown test to see where the air is leaking from. might just need the head rebuilt, or just the block, or, er.. both... wont know until you test it.
