HELP! cusco ek9 lsd install
 

how do I find out what shims I need? the tranny is a gsr 94/up. do the shims go between the lsd and the barring or the barring and the casing?as the post says the lsd is a cusco ek9 type R.

at the top of this forum there are is a sticked post with the factory serivce manual in it... DL that it will show you exactly what you need to know and how to do it...

the book only tells how to install.
he needs to know what size shims to use?
it looks like to me 1mm.
do the shims go between the bareing pack and the lsd or do they go between the bareing pack and the tranny case?

you follow the manual on how-to check the shim clearance, very easy!

Once you decide IF you need a different thickness shim, order it.

What I want to know is ,how or what do you measure to find the thickness of the shim that you need?
