Heli coils kick ***, my ls vtec has been running fine for 4 months with one in there. Shitty aluminum blocks, I though I was the only with this problem....

I had mine done by a shop tho, I won't tap a block. Little out of my league.

Helicoils will retain the same strength as the threaded wall, the epoxy you used wont hold a headbolt. You could try and waste the 15 bucks for the kit. But it says right on it not for use on headbolts, cranks etc, well the one I looked at said that.

got the same problem with my z6 block, cant boost until i fix that thread, helicoil
