head swaping question

hey guys i have a 95 civic si with a d16z6 engine, a guy i know wants to sell me a head that he has from a 97 civic si (d16y8 i think?) its ported and polished and milled 3 thousandths. he is selling it for a great price but my question is will i have any problems putting it on my car? i have heard that my distributor wont line up and stuff like that anyway any healp would be great.
Thanks

yes, the distributor wont mount up rite. go for it if you really want it. but hook me up if you decide not to buy it:)

Re:head swaping question

buy it, it will give you more power due to the fact that the y8 head has more compression than the z6 head, plust the fact that the y8 head you are buying is ported and polished will give you more air flow. the distriubtor will not line up right but you can get it to work

Re:head swaping question

The P28 (z6) head is by far the best flowing SOHC D-series head. The .4 c/r different and port job may sound good, But it all really comes down to is how much is it going to cost?
