Default head swap power?

how much would a si(a6) head help on a d15b2? Is the extra hp the d16a6 has mainly from it head?

there is a little difference in the stroke between your d15 and the d16a6. most i've seen will sway a z6 or y8 head on to get vtec as well

not enough power to actually do it man in my opinion. If I were you I would just throw a turbo on it. Me and my friend did a mini me swap on his a6 with a y8 a while back and we were pretty dissapointed. But now when we through a turbo on it different story.

yeah i do have a turbo setup on it, but over the winter i took the stock head off and I had a a6 head laying around so i cleaned it up and did a little port and polish on it and the manifolds. I just wanted to know if the head its self will give me any power gains? I heard the si cam is more aggressive.

its the ecu and mpfi that will bump you closer to si specs. go mpfi and z6 or y8 head....theres your most power output for a stock d series configuration

The heads are not the same.
but the A6 cam is more agressive.
and you will notice performance close to the D16.

I was going to do the same thing but it is cheaper to put in the si cam and get an adjustable cam gear thats what i did and i can notice a slight difference

all the info i've read says they are (B2 vs. A6). some people say the A6 has stronger valve springs, but otherwise it's just a difference in cams. i just went and looked at the head on my B2 and A6, they're stamped PM3-10 and PM3-12, respectively... though the B2 is 2 years older than the A6.
