yes ive seen that motor before..they come from the jdm cars..there is 2 versions of that engine,,one comes from 92-95 civic/domanis and is sohc vtec basically the same as d16z6 and has 130hp and the other comes in the 96-00 civics and is vtec-e (i guess its like our 96-00 civic hx) and has 120hp,,,

ive only seen like 3 in my life ,,so its pretty rare

ya know I thought I saw one at a jdm engine place once and was like wtf?, I dont think it had that intake mani on it though. The guy said it was from a edm civic though?

oh yeah my bad, he swapped a Y8 mani on it... he said it had a "Z6" mani on it before... its crazy i had never heard of one before, hell i didnt really believe him till it was sitting in my driveway...

just the same has a z6

for whatever reason the stamped some of those blocks with that code in jap land


some others got the ZC power stamp that I love. The sohc vtec zc was my first swap back in like 98.

I really couldn't see it being any stronger than any other D16. :l

I was thinking it looked more like a Y8, but the manifold threw me off. God damn japs....
