Depends. If you want to baby it through the first 20 miles break in, never WOT or high rpms, you won't generate sufficient combustion pressures to force the rings out and properly seat against the cylinder walls. Unless you're boosted, and have elevated combustion pressures to help you along.

Really, just running the engine back and forth across the torque peak at WOT is enough to properly seal rings when NA, but most people don't.
