Default Has anyone ever tired this???

I just came out of this site called: The Honda tuning Pages, and it said that you could simply advance your timing by turning your distributor to the left a lil' but i mention nothing about if you have to remove your plug wires, and the cap, and etc... so if yo done this before place write and let me know exactly what to do I real need this thanks!!!!!

what you have been told is VERY true. you just need to loosen the three bolts that hold teh ACTUAL DISTRIBUTOR to the head and turn the dist, either nback or forward. DO NOT remove the bolts. Do all of this while the car is running so you can tell teh difference.

good luck peace

The correct way to advance timing is using a timing light, do small incriments, 2-3 degrees then go test the car, listen for pinging under a heavy load in 4th or 5th gear. Be sure to buy good gas (high oct) after doing this.

You aim it at the crank pulley, there are marks on the front timing cover and pulley.

If you had a book it would be alot easier..

On honda/acuras there usually is a window between the engine and trans (under distributor, near engine block code) and its soo you can see the flexplate or flywheel because it has timing marks on it too... its more convienient than looking at the pulley
