hard wire vtec
lol
Not really...i engage it at like 4 grand and leave it on through the entire run of gears. My rpm never really drops below 4000 when i shift anyway, so i just switch it off when i'm done "spankin' it".

A friend of mine has been through 4 n/a engines with that push button vtec setup. On a true VTEC car the ecu reads MPH,RPMs,oil pressure, and coolent temperature. If all these are not correct then the ecu doesnt let VTEC "engauge".For example my guage cluster in my gsr got messed up some how and the RPMs and MPH wasnt working right.VTEC would never kick on because it wasnt reading the right MPH and RPM(i didnt have a vafc at the time).A master tech at honda pointed all this out to me.He said like on my friends car with push button vtec all he was doin was making all the valves open and make a kewl noise. So the reason he kept spinning bearings was because his oil pressure wasnt optimum.Maybe this makes sense.
