How are you guys getting the half radiators to fit in the 88-91 Civic's? The radiator hits the hood and it seems like the only way to get it to sit lower is to hack the front crossmember and I know there is an easier way to do this.

Help would be appreciated.

 

or you can make the top mount longer so it pushes the rad back into the engine bay more for more clearence?

 

I know someone on this board has actually done this. So how did you do it?

 

I've seen pics of a custom made top bracket that tilts it back to gain that clearance. It's on here somewhere.

How far did you have to angle it back? Is the bottom of the rad sitting at the same place the stock one was? Pics would definitely be appreciated

i need to know the same thing bcuz i have a friend that upgraded and i can get the factory half rad. for peanuts. will it keep my turbo d16 w/a/c cool?

 

my friend ran a b18c turbo (t3/t40E) on stock rad. o problems.

oh, and he is running 12's
