H23 vs LS vs d16z6
i think my turbo d16a6 is on its way out the door now smoking from both ends, leaking fluid. and all that fun stuff. i'm looking for a new motor to turbo less than the price of a b16. goals are about 250 whp and tq on a moderate budget. what will be the best bang for the buck for safety and price out of the h23 / LS / and d16z6?

It is either D16 or LS, I don't know what you're thinking with an H23, my vote is D16z6

i was thinking the h23 would get me my torque goals faster than the other two.

Assuming you have a crx good luck getting the h series motor in there . The investment in the swap parts alone is in the thousands has nothing fits I know this becasue I helped dh-racing.com install there h motor in there drag crx. Ls swaps are very cheap and everywhere or b16 if you have a little more cash.

Yes but remeber you still have to invest in a mount kit ect which will add up so unless you have atlest 2000 throw the ls swap out the window

2000 is a little out of the budget on just the motor. i guess i'll be doing the z6.

dont be discouraged by the d series. hotrex just put down 230 at 12psi on his mini me. beerbongkickass but down about the same on his z6 and its stock

my motor is all asock except pistons and rods. i made 251.9 hp and 222.3 tq at only 5500rpms on 16psi. i have yet to get a cleam pull at 16 psi. it should be 275ish i suspect.

sounds promising .. i guess i dont feel so bad going with another d16 then
