H22 wins....turbo on hold...some questions.
hey fellas, I have decided to swap in an H22 into my 99 4dr DX instead of turboing my D16. I found a deal for $1325 for the H22A, tranny, ECU and wire harness and am going to buy it this week. Now here's what I know I need to do a COMPLETE swap:
-Engine -tranny -ECU/wire harness -Accord hubs -Integra axles -HaSport Motor mounts -Integra front springs to compensate for the extra weight Anyone been here and know what else I will need? I want to have everything on hand when the swap begins to make it go smoothly. THANKS!!!!! |
Re:H22 wins....turbo on hold...some questions.

Thats hella cheap

Re:H22 wins....turbo on hold...some questions.
What model Integra axles? I have two pairs.

Re:H22 wins....turbo on hold...some questions.
You will also need the accord/prelude shift linkage.

and a big sledge hammer to dent the frame rails ;)

Re:H22 wins....turbo on hold...some questions.
I am getting this deal through my mustang buddy. He has a friend that's an engine distributor and that is his cost, he's selling it to me with no markup. He's in SoCal and i'm gonna see if he can sell some more if any of you are interested. They won't be that cheap but should be no more than $1600+shipping unless you pick it up.

Re:H22 wins....turbo on hold...some questions.
what year engine did u get, ur lucky if u got 96 or older because u have a closed-deck then and u can boost the ---- out of it
|
Re:H22 wins....turbo on hold...some questions.
i have a 98. boo no closed deck, oh well can't beat getting everything for $1300 with a 94 prelude S frame haha. :P

Re:H22 wins....turbo on hold...some questions.
first of all ignore the h22a haters. I swapped a jdm h22a into my 93 cx (hatch). you'll need engine, ecu (p13, or p72), wiring harness, custom axles, prelude shaft, mounts, which my hasport mounts required a prelude rear bracket for the rear mount. As for suspension I have no problem turning with my 2.5 drop springs.

-Engine/prelude shifter assembly/tranny/ecu. -----$1525 -mounts----------------------------------------------------------$500 -labor-------------------------------------------------------------$500 -exhaust hook up---------------------------------------------$80 -intake-------------------------------------------------------------$50 -various sensors not on engine----------------------------$100 anyone??? |
