Default h22 q's

I know the h22 is a big engine, but if you throw it in a 98 civic, does the a/c go or can it stay?

actually its not bull and also you may buy the b18 for more but in the end the h22 will be more expensive

You know its more bang for your buck! I'v dropped an h22 in my 93 civic cx, and yes ac would be a bitch. Fortunately enough I already pulled mine out, to hell with ac and im in arizona! Any way everthings all good this was my first swap and on a 1-10 difficult scale i give it a 5! Reason being you can't be to dumb, and you don't have to be to smart. Right now my lowest e.t. is a bout a 13.2 with intk, head, and exhaust all on street tires. Gsr can't compete.

Pretty much consider the h22a the honda 'big block'. it can be fit into your civic chasis without having to cut/hack or refabricate using GSR axles, shift linkages from an accord, and one of the mount kits from HASport or other such companies. The motor WILL cause oversteer/understeer without corrective alignment precautions BECAUSE the motor was designed to lean a different direction then D/B series. However, like I said the steering can be corrected.

Air-Conditioning can be kept, I believe that you use the original civic hosing and condenser. The sizing may have to be cut, but theres no reason why it can't be fabricated. If you're not good at rigging things together I wouldn't bother with such a swap until you've found the definitive answer to all your questions.

As well, this person saying that there is no steering doesn't know enough about suspension to make a justified claim. Lowering a honda with this bigger motor in it will indefinently cause bad toe and camber. Of course, I have seen lovely civics driving down the road with their tires looking like this / \ maybe if thats what you like?

Look around, call up places like HASport, and motor swap companies in your local area. See what they say as well.

Lol, I never said I DID THE SWAP did I?

Fortunately for you you don't have a scanner do you?
I've never dropped a 396 chevelle motor in a camaro ss, but I am pretty sure I could do it - because I've seen it done and I've seen how things fit.
