You might aswell rebuild in the first place, if possible. You'll end up spending a lot more money if the motor is crap. He should replace the motor.
Well I have had 2 motors I have swapped in the last 6 months that compression wise were perfect has far has a used motor goes. Above 165 on each cylinder. One had major oiling problems and it eat it self alive and the next had headgasket problems after a month Like I said the 30k thing is used by everyone It is not true. The zc's still bein sold today have not bein sittin in rainy yards in jap land for 10 years. The motors would be rust piles there all drivers with tons of mileage. Want a healthy zc these days your gonna do a re ring replace bearings,t belt etc 20 year old motors are 20 year old motors. Call any other importer and they have astart up only warranty. Motor pops the next day sorry bud Welcome to the world of racing it costs money |

I believe what your saying that there probably not what they say they are, which makes me not wan't to buy one or get one and rebuild it. You started off saying that the guys being honest....... Him just replacing the parts is BS. If the motor is bad, I should get a new one and be able to decied if I want to rebuild or not. Thanks for a piece of crap I have to rebuild........... |

All importers have start up warranty on jdm motors that are performance based. It has been that way since 1996 when I first did my zc swap in my ef hatch. The rules are there because your buying a used motor. ---- happens. thread is over |
