GSR transmission issue, Sensor question also

Hmmm..... I try and try and try, but I have no reverse in my car..??? On my shift linkage I used my own bolt/washers to bolt up the round part of the linkage (side of trans). if thats too tight, and cant move enough to the side, will that cause me to not be able to have reverse?

Also, I have my factory OBD1 civic harness hooked up, and My temp sensor isnt working. I was told that the clip for the temp sensor is just like the clip for a sensor on the side of the head (B18A1). One sensor plug is gray, one is white/clear looking. Can anyone tell me which one is which? I guess I could just flip em around but I'd have to add wire into both to reach their sensors, so I thought I'd ask first. Thanx.

what car(im guessing 92-95 civic) and what obd motor? and the rod u are talking about (that has the big piece of rubber in it ) just as long as its slid in the place it needs to be and dosent move it should be alright. that stablizing rod should not move, only the one with the bitch pin in it which actually shifts your gears should move.
