Im havin trouble getting the bolt out of the crank pulley so i can take the crank out.We broke one socket already, the impact wont get it, this bitch is stuck.Has anyone had any trouble with theres.Need help thanks

 

yeah, i've ran into that problem before, I never had a air compressor nearby, so what i always end up doing it improvise. I use a 1/2" drive rachet, or 1/2" drive breaker bar i bought from autozone :P I always end up breaking a 3/8" drive rachet so just use a 1/2". And just extended it with 4 ft bar. Then get something between the flywheel like a strong screwdriver or something. Im sure there's other recommended way to do it, but this is how i did mine. Then it should come loose.

 

there is actually a tool that does that for you.. it goes in the crank pully and has a hole through it. you use a 1/2 inch ratchet and go to town. the tool is like $100ish but well worth the investment.

not even 2 seconds and its out with an impact wrench

 

three different impact wrenches couldn't get mine off. They had to go to town on it with an impact hammer, if you hammer it real close up where the bolt goes in, it should break loose and you can use the impact wrence to get it off.

 

Friend at the shop said he used a 3/4 in impact so im gonna try that. I hammered the ---- outta it today and it still isnt letting go.
