gsr block girdle on a 2nd gen b16a

so i made the mistake of going to honda-tech for a few resources and got a reply from someone with 16 post :1 :1 which was not very helpful. so i thought id ask for anyones info on this setup. so what is needed for a gsr girdle to go on a b16 is it bolt on or does it require some fabrication? i know for an ls it requires some machine work. i am using stock honda bearings nothing special nothing machined. just a nice fresh clean block that i scrubed down and honed. i also have the 3 main caps that go with the girdle. any info would be helpful thanks.

ps i figured if this does work that the main bolts would have to be from a gsr so i got those from arp.

dont ------ bother...

running the P72 main girdle is gonna require machining im pretty sure. and you DONT want to use the main caps from the P72 motor the girdle came from you CANT swap main caps around just a really bad idea...

on top of that you will need: P72 main bolts or ARPs (for P72 block), P72 oil pickup, P72 windage tray, and P72 pan...

you can buy one of these and i dont think they require any machining to the stock caps...

but in the end... i would never put on in a motor that didnt have it to begin with...

to run the Gsr girdle you need the following:
gsr girdle + caps+ bolts
gsr windage tray + pickup
Gsr oil pan.
maybe gsr dipstick.

I ran this in both my b16 and ls/vtec setup, with no machining. many people will say you don't need it because the b16 block is strong enough, but I did it for a peace of mind. do what makes you comfortable.
