Default GS or GSR tranny to use?

i am not boosted yet, hopefully in the summer. right now the gsr tranny is in the car but needs some new syncros. the gs tranny has been completely rebuilt and used to be in the car when i first did the swap but i wanted the shorter gear ratios at the time.

here are the questions: going boost, which tranny would you use? the main reason i ask is i'm thinking of getting an lsd to put in eventually. are the obx lsd's any good? they seem very reasonably priced. or should i stick with a quaife which is double the cost? here are the ratios:
92-93 Integra GSR:
1: 3.307
2: 2.105
3: 1.459
4: 1.107
5: 0.875
FD: 4.400
92-93 Integra GS:
1: 3.230
2: 1.900
3: 1.269
4: 0.966
5: 0.742
FD: 4.266

what post is complete with out pics! here is my tranny mount for the crx. cnc cut aluminum with a custom poly insert. that was about 6 years ago when i made that thing!

Hands down go with the YS1 GSR tranny, ls trans suck for boost, I dont care what anyone else says. Shorter gears are great for boost and vtec.

Btw, thats a pretty good looking trans mount, you should of came out selling those before hasport, you'd be a rich man

There's a guy on H-T running something like 600WHP on slicks with an OBX LSD and it hasn't taken a ---- yet. Earl is in the business of selling and promoting high-quality parts, so why would he promote an OBX product, which would be competing against him?

Just trying to get both sides out here

Life time warrenties don't matter if the part never breaks

Just kidding around, if you have the money to spend, spend it on a Quaife, there's no reason not to.

Very good point. That kind makes you wonder why OBX doesn't have a lifetime warranty. I guess they just aren't as confident in their product as Quaife is.
