Goal
Okay guys morning first of all, and let's continue I have a 93 hatchback, with a 94 LS motor, I have the basic bolt-ons, but I'm on a quest now, I want to reach 180-200hp without the use of n.o.s, or forced air induction... allmotor, right now I'm thinkin' a nice set of cams, upgrade the fuel, and spark. I'll like to know what you guys think, and what route I should take...

Re:Goal
I think you should find a website that isn't homemadeTURBO.com Take that NA ---- box elsewhere. If it ain't Forced Induction its ------- broke.

I'm just bustin balls, you may have better luck on www.honda-tech.com

Re:Goal
the easiest way would be to get a vtec head with aftermarket cams
high comp pistons cant hurt |
Re:Goal
If all motor, LS/VTEC (port and polished head) with higher compression pistons, lighten flywheel, jackknife crankshaft (and balance), more aggressive cams... any other thing. All motor => $$$.

Re:Goal
a vtec head would be nice. w/ cams, upgraded valve train and higher comp. pistons.
a new clutch, lightened flywheel, and some uber love. |
Re:Goal
some nice 13:1 comp. with a p&p b16 head w/ upgraded valve train and some nice lumpy cams, big port matched intake mani with big bore throttle body and a good intake, good header going to a nice free flowing exhaust and some good tuning, you should be able to get 200whp all motor fairly easily, possibly a little more. it's gonna cost though, definitely not as easy or cheap as slapping on a turbo or bottle :-\

Re:Goal
Most NA LS motors I've read about that make 200-ish whp idle like crap. Everyone's already mentioned good ways to get what you want (you'll need a VTEC head).
If you did decide that you wanted to boost, a mild, very reliable, boost setup could bring you to 200 whp no problem. |
