gauge cluster

Does anybody know if the '89 crx SI gauge cluster has the same plugs as the '89 crx DX cluster? If the plugs are different what else do I have to rewire?

89 and 89 should be the same. I've swapped in a 89 LX cluster (with tach) in my 89 Dx. lined up good.

did the tach work right off? already pre-wired?

plugs are the same. plug and play. If your stock cluster had no tach, a cluster with the tach is plug and play, no extra wiring required.
