Funky problems with F22b1 after engine swap. NECESSITO ASSISTANCE!

Motor is a JDM F22b in a 94 Accord. It has a t3/t4, 450's and uberdata.

The car didnt run great after swapping the motor in. We came to the conclusion that cylinders #1, #2 are the problem. You can pull the plug wire for each or both cylinders and it will not make a difference. The engine is currently running on only #3, #4, at least at idle. We have tried new spark plugs and new injectors. The spark plugs are definitly working and after a drive the plugs do show *some* carbon but you can easily feel that the spark plugs #1, #2 are not as hot as #3 #4 when you remove them. I cleaned off the rotors and cap and they are not the problem either. Spark is definitly getting from the rotor button to the spark plug.

I am totally out of ideas. Oh yeah, we did a comp. test and its 210,210,210,210. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Definatly sounds like your not getting pulse to the injectors. Make sure you have 12volts at the injector plugs, and hook up a test light or noid light to see if you have your ground signal (pulse) from the ecu to the injector.

good idea. never thought of that. What's a noid light? Is that the thing that steals pizza?

ok, so the 12v is constant and the ground is pulsed. What setting on a standard multimeter could I use to check the pulsed ground?

well, the injector problem is out, the timing belt issue is nearly 99% out. The speedo isnt working either...I was wondering if the two problems could be linked? Could the ECU be messed up?

If we put the firing order backwards (switch wires at dizzy), then for some ------- reason Cyl's #1 and #4 fail to run, but #2 and #3 work fine. Wires are good, injectors are good, plugs are good. We put the crank pulley to TDC and the rotor button was pointing to #1 like it's supposed to. Im so confrused.

i say check all ur wiring at the main plugs, engine bay plugs and ecu plug. on my friends coupe his vtec wire kept comin out at the ecu plug. just a thought since u kno its a wiring problem. check out all the wiring then make sure ur firing order is right.

Could this problem be TUNE related? Say...someone put a DOHC f22b tune on my SOHC f22b? I checked all the wiring, I checked the timing from the belt/distro. I am so Freaking CONFUSED@!!!! If anyone has any advice...please let me know

bad plug wires on 1 & 2.

try swapping wires between 2 & 3

are your injectors wired in the correct order?

wires spark, and we have figured its not the wires...Is there any way that its the ECU?

while you crank the engine over, pull the spark plug cable about half an inch off of the dizzy and see if you get spark going to each cylinder.

if only 1 and 4 work, it could be a bad ignitor if nothing else has changed in the harness. i guess if could be the ecu too so try swapping it. but if that hasnt changed it would be the cause of it either. are you using a new dizzy? considering its a dohc swap i assume it is. the ignitor was bad on my swap too. you can use the same ignitor from your stock diszzy. its just a bitch to swap the parts over.mm wait im not sure if they will swap over since your car is a 94 but its worth a try.

its the SOHC F22b Vtec. I have a new ecu on the way and I am hoping that is the problem, if not I will replace the ignitor and keep trying to narrow down what it could be.

Tried a new ECU. Didnt fix anything.

Something else that might be of importance - since the motor swap and install of a P28 with Uber, the speedo no longer works.

A thought on the speedo problem... the VSS cable sometimes seems like it's in all the way but you gotta fiddle with it to get it ALL the way in. This coming from a D-series guy though. I'm not sure if it would apply to an F22. My two cents.
