fuel pump dead?

k, went for a drive was about 20mins on the freeway i stop and turn off the car for about 3mins. come back out and start the car, fires up fine sputters a second, so i give it a little gas, it thinks it recovers and stalls out. give it another crank doesnt want to start. i chill for a minute or too. and i turn the key i hear the fuel pump prime and it starts fine, revs up good, and drove fine the hole way home (then threw a CEL 1 and 17, which have nothing to do with the fuel pump).
so whats up?? thanks

my 02 senser is gay, its been throwing a code about one every month or two ::)

the CEL came on when i was on the freeway, i was doing 70..umm i mean 60...so yes the the speedo was working (maybe i didnt reset the ecu last time?)

dropping the tank sounds like a big pain in the ass, i will probly do it next weekend (just filled my tank...oops)

Re:fuel pump dead?

i did it ;D fucker is loud! i can even here is whining while im driving, thats ok though i still have my sub i will just turn up the music. it really wasnt that hard to put in at all, everyone makes it seem harder... (had a good 5 gallons of gas in there too)

anyway my car seems to run better (only about 5mins of driving so far), lot smoother. but i still get a hesatation at about ~4000rpms which i think is about where i hit 10psi, so MAP sensor maybe? (yes Jeff i do have a 2 BAR its going in tomarrow morning)

Re:fuel pump dead?

replacing the fuel pump is easy some people just have a tedency to make something bigger then it is. Hell, the hardest part in changing my fuel pump is getting the jack underneath it since she is so low. As for the fuel pump thing i had a bad relay switch (without it my fuel pump won't prime) and changed the dizzy np after that then
