Default ------- timing belt skipped a tooth

god damn timing belt skipped a tooth today, im not that mad, since the car HAULS *** now, lol.

I was at the car wash and i got some water in my engine bay, the car was running really weird so i was stranded there for a good hour, usually once the car dries up, it works again (this has happened before) but i guess this time i got impatient and tried to rev out of it, the car back fired really loud and i saw positive pressure on my boost guage (lol) so i had to wait for it to dry off some more. it finally dried off a bit and i was getting 3 codes on the way home (8, 9 and 16) so i let the car sit for another hour in the garage, reset the ecu and now when ever I start it it gives me a code 8 or 9 ( i cant remember)

car runs normal, little odd idle perhaps, more power it seams then usual, i dunno if this is cause the ecu is running lean cause of the CEL, or if its from the timing belt skipping a tooth.

anyway, will reseting the cam timing fix my problem or did i ---- something else up, lol.

Did you actually look to see if it skipped a tooth?

Do you have a vented hood like me that cause these problems for you?

My car has been absolutely ***** slow since I changed trannies, I figured i blew the headgasket, it just doesnt pull anything after 4k, just basically stops climbing in the revs, maybe me washing the car all the time cause it to skip a tooth? I guess Ill have to figure out how to check that
