Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help

Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help

Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help
use aircraft remover on the pieces that are stuck on. just wet a rag and wipe it down. then clean that up with soapy water.
|
Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help
ive had to do this twice, Napa gasket remover works like a charm every time.
spray on... chill. scrape off... and repeat as needed |
Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help
Bah. you need a whizzy wheel, aka die grinder with a sanding bit, I use one everyday on all kinds of ----, from intake manifolds, oil pans, heads, engine decks. 80 grit 2in wheel works perfect, I can clean one of those nasty composite decks in like 20 seconds.

Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help
We sell em at Napa, called scotch brite pads.

Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help
Get these 3 things.. looking at less then 50 bucks usually.
http://www.econosuperstore.com/image...airgrinder.jpg Die grinder https://i19.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/bd/23/3e_1.JPG Attachment for discs https://i20.ebayimg.com/01/i/02/e8/63/9d_1_b.JPG Roloc Discs 50grit is fine, probably only need 1 or 2 for a deck and a head. Or the whole kit from Matco https://i15.ebayimg.com/02/i/03/38/09/12_1_b.JPG Like 60 bucks on ebay. |

Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help
is the block out of the car? if so, take that bitch to the machine shop and have it "step decked" .003
quit bullshitting around! there has to be some reason why you blew the HG! shouldn't run you more than $50 |
Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help
didn't blow the gasket just decided it would be better to get rid of that shitty composite and put the mls gasket in before boosting..apperently 16 years is rough on a composite gasket..i'll try the die grinder...i just have to find some of those pads.. napa was closed when i got home today though
|
Re:Fucking stock Head gasket!! need help
Napa will have them or something similar. Once you use one of these die grinders with the roloc discs you will be so happy. It saves so much time. Definatly the flat rate tool
