frankenstein z1
i got some stuff jst laying around and im wondering how it would all work together.
d15z1 block d16a6 pistons d16a6 head i used http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/dcalc.htm and got ~10:1 - 10.4:1 (diff. HG) comp. ratio w/ -1.3mm(-0.051181in) piston to deck high. is this correct ? anyone ever done this ? should i ---- around w/ it or jst throw it all away ? n00b....i know. lol |
Re: frankenstein z1

Re: frankenstein z1
ya still fucked it up!!!!!
the compression isn;t the issue, the piston sitting almost 2mm above deck is!!!!! 10.9 with a Z6/Y8 HG |

Re: frankenstein z1
I think that would be a sweet setup. Hell if you have it then by all means put it together. Why toss it. It shouldn't cost much to put it all together. Oh kinda off topic..what did Jeff ever do with that NA A6 he built up..you know the Wheezy.

-.028??? I'm goping -.052 and the edges are VERY close, lets just say there MIGHT be a little kissing.......
being .070" out of the hole, the top ring is going be VERY close to the top of the sleeve, with rod strecth you might hang a ring and then it's all over with. Attachment 30165 |
Re: frankenstein z1
I don't know about that one Bone :l...I think your first trip to 8k is going to do some bad stuff. Especially with ring height, that's a questionable one too. Could always try what one of my friend's did with his old D...weld aluminum to the top of the pistons and machine it down to bump the c/r LOL ::)

Re: frankenstein z1
with the mustang spark plugs, same ones I used for nitrous, clearance will be ok.......
if anything the plugs will get shut down first......no gap = no spark, poor mans safe engine kill. |
