Forged rods wont fit!!! help!!
I spun a bearing on my d16y7 running 6psi on a garrett t25. Now I am rebuilding the whole motor with new reinforce parts. New low compression pistons/rings, rod bearings, main bearings, and rods. The auction that i got the rods from stated that they work on d16 engines from 96-00. The problem is that the bottom of the rods wont fit into the cylinders without force. I dont want to scratch the freshly honed walls, so I dont want to force it. what should I do? are they the wrong rods?

here is the ink to the auction
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=200025689505
one rod fits into cylinder #4 but catches about 3 inches down. the rest of the rods catch in the first 1/2 inch.

Re: Forged rods wont fit!!! help!!
It wasnt the oil pump. It was my own stupidity because i didnt realize the gasket from my oil dump tube was leaking and the idiot light wire got disconected somehow. The oil pump seemed fine but i took it apart, cleaned it out and rebuilt it anyways just to be safe.
